Michaël studied the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Television in Cuba. He was awarded and nominated for Young Directors Awards in Cannes and screened at film festivals. Michael works as a filmmaker as well as an autonomous artist, creating a body of work that combines genuine imagery with personal realism, incidentally elevating his films with a surreal touch. He has directed award-winning projects for brands, such as: AXA, Intel, Hyundai, LG, Nestlé, Panasonic, Samsung, Vodafone. Having lived in Asia and Scandinavia, he is currently based in The Netherlands. Michaël is in early production of a feature film, selected for development by the Cannes Film Festival, and a music-documentary, both supported by the Dutch Film Funds.
